We welcomed our new Acorns into school today. They already look so grown up in their new uniforms and shiny shoes. There weren’t many tears and we did watch the parents closely! We now know where to put our books bags, coats, water bottles and wellies.

We started the day listening to the story of ‘The Little Red Hen’ before exploring the classrooms and the activities on offer. We had a fun day and are looking forward to tomorrow and our Blue day!

Our home visits are well underway. It is a lovely way to get to know the children in their own environment, talk with their parents/carers and share more school information.  All of this helps with a smooth transition. We are being made to feel most welcome – thank you.
