We are incredibly proud of the children. We think you’ll agree that our Christingle Church service was amazing. The children were well behaved, knew when to move and sang beautifully! What a fantastic start to the Christmas season.

This week we have found out why we commemorate Remembrance Day. We have done lots of poppy based activities which are displayed in our Learning Journey Floor Books. Our apple printed poppies were added to wreathes which we laid at the Cenotaph at St. John’s Church. We held a two minutes silence whilst we thought about the soldiers who have given their lives for our freedom.

In the afternoon we invited our families and our community into school for refreshments, prayers and songs. Each class took part and we really enjoyed singing ‘Daisy, Daisy!’

We held the grand opening of our new running track on Wednesday.

Even when our legs were tired we never gave up! It was a great afternoon and it was lovely to see so many parents turn up to celebrate our achievements. We received a certificate which recorded how many laps we completed so that we can start to collect our sponsorship money.

Stone Soup

After sharing the story ‘Stone Soup’ and completing lots of related activities, we decided to make our very own! We washed, peeled and chopped all the vegetables. Some children even brought in their own to add to the mix. We really enjoyed sharing our very own soup!
